The vacation village is located on the north coast of Morocco, adjacent to the sea. The site, in the heart of an agricultural area, belongs in part to the Government and in part to private owners. An existing hotel and a group of villas immediately adjacent consituted Phase 1 of the project. Further expansion, to the north, has included extensive development of two-storey, terraced houses.
A high density of development was chosen in order to create a sense of space which inspired to the local traditional urban fabric. The settlement includes a centrally located commercial center and a golf course. Other public spaces include small squares and stepped passages. The typology is characterized by an apparently spontaneous assembly of rectilinear volumes with abundant openings, balconies and terraces covered with trelisses.
