A one-storey private residence located on the side of a 30-metre high hill. The house rests on a stepped cyclopean concrete strip foundation, with a reinforced concrete base and an asphalt layer, in order to protect it from the moist and tropical climate. Innovative measures were devised to minimise energy consumption, such as using wind for cross ventilation, sun for electricity production, and rainwater - collected in a 12,000-litre cistern - for washing, cleaning and irrigation.
