Vineyard House
Urla, Turkey
Private residence located in Yagcilar, a rural village situated in the Aegean region. The house is made of wood and stands on an elevated platform. Fixed double glazed glass was used on both north and south elevations and there are 35-cm. high ventilation lids above the windows, providing effective ventilation. The wood in the interior is laminated, pre-treated, and the first layer is painted. For insulation purposes, 50mm. foam boards were inserted between the walls and the roof. A small stove is used for cooking and heating, a practical and cost-effective solution.
