An updating -- and scaling up -- of the traditional Bedouin wedding tent. Seven parabolic membrane structures sited throughout the Al-Ain region provide one-stop facilities containing everything necessary for celebrating a wedding. They come in two sizes: one for up to 2,000 people, the other for 800. Three different structural materials were used, namely reinforced concrete, steel (for the space frame) and PFTE (for the tent membrane).
