The research facilities of the Ministry of Energy consist of four buildings arranged around a central courtyard. The five-storey administrative block and the six-storey laboratory and classroom block are located at the northern and southern edges respectively, with a cylindrical restaurant and an 800-seat amphitheatre flanking the courtyard. The building is in reinforced concrete and steel frame, and the facades are in white cement plaster, glass glazing and black glazed tiles.
