Kuwait Conference Center Landscaping
Kuwait City, Kuwait
Three main courtyards distributed on the complex's central axis articulate the overall design. The landscaping is more elaborate in the intensive-use areas, near the buildings and gradually decreases in complexity in the less frequented areas of the outer perimeter. Plant, paving and water elements are geometrically arranged so as to recall traditional Islamic gardens, where surfacing materials define the hierarchy of circulation, water cools the atmosphere and helps mask exterior noises.
