The design involved placing an egg-shaped auditorium into the grounds of the Sabanci Museum to achieve the minimum amount of disturbance to the existing structures and landscape by submerging into a sloping terrain. Built of steel and assembled in pieces on site, it is inserted like a pod into the existing building in which the landscaped roof matches and extends the pre-existing gradient.. The 300-seat auditorium has an adjustable floorand acoustics successfully designed for chamber music.
