October Hills Private Residence
Sixth of October City, Egypt
The brief set out a requirement for a Mediterranean style home with courtyards, outdoor rooms, gardens, and recreational and office facilities. Entrance gates lead through to an Andalusian-style residence built towards the north-east side of the site. The building opens onto a shaded terrace overlooking the garden conceived as a co-ordinated series of outdoor rooms. Arbours, door and window grilles, patios, trees and palms lead through to a pool and pool house. This building contains a jacuzzi, gymnasium and a ‘teppanyaki’ cooking area. Palm trees are strategically located, providing privacy and visual interest to the garden.
