The third phase in an ambitious project to create a green belt of forests around Ankara. The programme also include public parks in the various districts of the city, some of which former slum communities. The residents have been re-settled into apartments built at the edges of the sites, increasing the standards of living for this section of the population. Funding for the project, which is undertaken by the municipality, is obtained through the sale of apartments, offices, and commercial facilities.
