Üsküdar Promenade (MEGT)
Istanbul, Türkiye
Evliya Çelebi (Seyahatnâmesi, 1:143b) describes this place as follows: First of all, the site is a promenade and a resting place. . . . However, if it were possible to see those gardens, similar to the paradise garden, which are exclusively allocated to the sultans, it would be noticed that the beauty of each is worth half of the universe.
