This small shrine in is dedicated to Sidi Ahmad Buquja, a wealthy landowner who is said to have spent all his wealth teaching the Qur'an and philosophy. This zawiya marks the site of his tomb. It was also the subject of Henri Matisse's painting, Le Marabout.
